How to Use DriVin:
Use as a vinegar replacement (5% acetic acid solution): Slightly acidified water encourages birds to drink which results in positive effects on weight gain and reduced gut pH that is less favorable for the colonization of pathogenic gut bacteria. Prepare stock solution by dissolving 2 oz. of DriVin in 1 gallon of water. Meter stock solution at 1 fluid oz. per gallon of drinking water (1:128).
Use continuously during non-heat stress conditions (varying % acetic acid solutions): Strategically adapt drinking water acidification to your birds’ lifecycles.

- Days 1-7: Prepare stock solution by dissolving 8 oz. of DriVin in 1 gallon of water. Meter stock solution at 1 fluid oz. per gallon of drinking water (1:128). Use continuously to start chicks during the first week.
- Day 8 until finisher feed: Prepare stock solution by dissolving 2 oz. of DriVin in 1 gallon of water. Meter stock solution at 1 fluid oz. per gallon of drinking water (1:128). Use daily in morning and again in the late afternoon. If birds start to flush, switch to higher concentration stock solution by dissolving 8 oz. of DriVin in 1 gallon of water. Meter stock solution at 1 fluid oz. per gallon of drinking water (1:128). Continue using higher concentration stock solution until flushing stops.
- While on finisher feed: For first 2 days of finisher feed prepare stock solution by dissolving 8 oz. of DriVin in 1 gallon of water. Meter stock solution at 1 fluid oz. per gallon of drinking water (1:128). After 2 days reduce stock solution to 2 oz. of DriVin in 1 gallon of water. Meter stock solution at 1 fluid oz. per gallon of drinking water (1:128).
- During last 48 hours: Prepare stock solution by dissolving 8 oz. of DriVin in 1 gallon of water. Meter stock solution at 1 fluid oz. per gallon of drinking water (1:128).
Use during heat stress conditions (40% acetic acid solution): Provide sodium acetate in drinking water to help combat heat stress and reduce respiratory alkalosis by replacing lost carbon dioxide.
